A little giveaway...

This is a special kit I made up to giveaway before our official launch...I will still be giving away one of the October kits, so if you don't win this one, don't fear because there will be another giveaway!!!!

I love fall, it is one of my favorite times of the year. Since we live in FL, we don't quite experience seasons like a lot of people do, but here are some signs that fall is coming around here: We live in a tourist area that is packed for the summer, so when the tourists go away...there's a sign; long sleeve clothes are arriving in the stores (I always love the fall color palettes!), the arrival of the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks, and it starts to get dark earlier.

If you want to win this kit, just post here and tell me why you love fall or some signs of fall in your area!!!!!!!!!! You have until Sunday at 11:59 CST, then I will randomly choose a winner.
Here is what is in the kit:
1 Maya Road Accordion Book, 1 package of Making Memories Kraft paper stickers, 11 6x6 sheets of Basic Grey Mellow patterned paper, 1 sheet of Bazzill Kraft paper, 6 foam American Crafts leaf embellishments, 3 Basic Grey Mellow Buttons, 3 felt Making Memories buttons, 3 red metal arrows by 7 Gypsies, 1 Cat's Eye fluid chalk ink pad in Chestnut Roan, 3 felt American Crafts flowers, 1 package of K & Company rhinestones, 8 Making Memories journaling spots, 1 ft. Making Memories brown suede trim, and 1 ft. of Making Memories tiny red Ric-rack.
P.S. Don't forget to check out the sneak peek of the October kit in the post below...

Well, I like you live in a place where the weather is warm year round and there is no obvious season change. The difference between us is that I am also in a touristy area and that is when the tourists begin to show up...lol! I do remember when I lived in an area where the seasons were obvious and just the smell in the air would let you know it was fall. The leaves changing colors brought new life to the green which we saw most of the time! And to romp in the leaves...what fun! Thanks for making me take time to reflect......I almost forgot what it was like!

I love the orange colors that fall brings. My family room decor is burnt orange and it ties right into the season. I live in NC so there are lots of changes. The acorns are falling off of the trees. The leaves are soooo beautiful here. And it is dark when I get home from work. I am with you on the pumpkin spice lattes. I love them.

I am originally from Tennessee and have lived in northern Sweden for the last nine years. I have not enjoyed a glorious autumn since then! Now I am vacationing here in TN and enjoying every moment as the foliage changes!

We don't really have a typical fall here in Louisiana. We go out and pick our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch when it's 80 degrees. LOL What I do love about fall is the gathering of my family for Thanksgiving. I look forward to it all year. I love visiting with my family, and I LOVE my grandpa's gumbo. He cooks it only for big family gatherings, and it's awesome.

I love fall but it's because of the falling leaves. When my two sisters and I were young we had a lot of trees around our house. We would rake the leaves into a pile and then outline the yard into a house with them. For example, there would be a kitchen so big outlined, a bedroom, etc. After we got done playing "house" my father and mother would come out and "take a tour" of our house but then the hard work would start. We would then get a big piece of plastic and rake the leaves onto the plastic and have to dump them over the hill next to our house. My mother passed away in December and it's things like leave houses and her pumpkin pie that I will miss this year (not to mention so many other things)and for years to come.

Fall in Chicago is amazing! One of my favorite things to do is go for a walk on the local nature trails. The trees above us are filled with autumn colored leaves and it's perfect for picture-taking, which of course translates into scrapping for me!!!

I love the woodsy smell of fall, the crispness in the morning and evenings, longsleeves with no jackets or coats, curling up in a blanket with hot tea to watch your favorite tv program or movie with a nice cool breeze of fresh air cuz you can still have the windows open, the colors - browns, reds, oranges.

That is a fabulous kit you put together to give away and how sweet of you too!

Well what I love about fall is the color changing of the leaves and the crisp in the air. I too love the fall colors, long midday walks with my family and pets, sitting outside with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a light long sleeve with a good pair of sweatpants :)! Not to mention all the night decorations we put out for the fall. The signs here are when the stores are putting out fall decorations and last but not least, my kids are starting to get the sniffles...lol

For me Fall is a symbolic season. We go from the excitement of returning to school, to the sillyness of Halloween. The crisp air and crisp apples would make anyone smile. And who wouldn't laugh when they jump in a pile of crisp leaves?

But the symbolism comes through the changing colors, and the change in the wind. It is the sign of evolution and revolution. OUr world keeps moving, changing and growing.

My favorite part of Fall is Thanksgiving. A time to relect on all the many blessings that we have in life. A time to celebrate being with family.

I live in NE Ohio and we almost always have pretty falls.. it has ALWAYS been my favorite time of year.... its so warm - without being HOT like summer... and everything just has that sweet smell to it! I immediately get excited as soon as the leaves even hint at changing! Its just the best time of year! All of my favorite things come during fall, pumpkins, hayrides, my birthday, football games and bon fires! :) I am soo glad its fall again - its just too bad winter comes next!!!

I live in SW Ontario Canada and sometimes the leaves start to change in August! I love it when the nights start to get cooler and you can curl up in a cozy comfy blanket. I love wearing my favourite wool sweater for the first time. And last but not least, I love the colours of the leaves and apple picking with my 3 year old angel every year! Its safe to say, that this is my favourite time of the year!!!

Although I love summer, I'm usually ready for autumn to arrive. The trees changing colors, the arts and crafts shows gearing up, and most of all the wonderful soups and stews that I love making. There's nothing better than that first pot of chili on an autumn evening!

i like the trees changing colors, but the only tree that does that around here are the liquid ambers. but i've noticed something else about the fall here in SD some trees actually have a bloom of sorts in fall colors, the flaming chineese tress looks so cool with all there green and then these bursts of red leaves at the tips of the branches.

that and then the excuse to make up some delishious pumpkin bread and the cool nights. its what I love about the fall.

My passion for Fall goes beyond the traditional sights and smells - even though I LOVE them more than ANY other season! I met my first love in the fall, we married nine years later in the fall, and this year we can't wait to celebrate 10 years married...in the fall. But then again...Chicago's cool temps and sweater weather make us get that much more cozy!

I am a California Girl. We don't see much change in colors here, since I am so close to the beach. But I know it's fall when Starbucks advertises Pumpkin Spice Lattes again. I love stopping in the morning on my way to work to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte and I enjoy the cool air in the early evening.

I'm a Florida girl too, so not a lot of changes in the fall here. It does start to get cooler so I can get back to walking in the evenings. When I lived in Mass., I loved the falling leaves, and as a kid I loved playing in them! I miss that!

Where I live we just sort of ease into autumn - the cottonwood trees turn a brilliant gold, the sumac turns dark red, and pastures turn that soft beige like a smooth latte, and the sunshine turns into warm honey. I love it! I always think of autumn beginning on OU-Texas game day, and ending on Thanksgiving.

I love fall because the weather becomes more tolerable in FLorida...you can actually stay outside and not get bitten by mosquitos. It's a welcome change from summer!

I love the cool air and leaves changing color. I love the golden light that although it occurs year-round, always seems to represent fall to me. I love the rich colors and cool weather, and I love playing with my puppy in a bed of leaves.

i live in Wisconsin and some of the trees are already starting to change. I just love all of the earthy colors and I really don't mind wearing a sweatshirt..I mean you can only take so much off when it's hot!!I love collecting the pinecones and dried stuff to use to decorate the house.

Well I live in West Texas so the only sign of fall so far is the fact that the temperatures are starting to dip below 90! But I grew up on the East coast of Canada and my favourite thing about the fall was always the colours of the trees!!!

I adore fall. It's my favorite season. My birthday is the first day of fall, and that might have something to do with it! I love the family traditions that come with fall. For my family, that's a trip to the pumpkin patch with all of the extended family the weekend before Halloween, then my parents drive around to everyone's house to see all of the grandkids dressed up on Halloween night. Thanksgiving is my mom's favorite holiday, and the whole family gathers at my parents' house on Wednesday and spends the night, then we all get up early to help cook and watch the parades. My sisters and I scour ads to plan our attack for Black Friday shopping after Thanksgiving dinner. It always seems to me that fall brings my family closer together, and I love that.
